When Erin first
posted about this Blogger Crush Link Up last week, I was thrilled. I thought it
was such a brilliant idea. Although I am new to blogging myself, I have been following
and reading blogs for years now. Your blogs have absolutely helped shape me
into who I am today. You've given me confidence, helped me to lose weight, provided
creative ideas, inspired me to be better, and do better. So for me, this is a
perfect opportunity to say THANK YOU! Thank you for all you've done for me in
the past, and now, for accepting me as I take this step into blogging myself.
This was surprisingly difficult, I read over twenty blogs
every day. Most of those I've followed for at least a year or two. So it was difficult
narrowing down those of you I wanted to feature, because I'm crushing on a lot
of you! I could have just posted a link back to these leading ladies, but I
thought I'd take this opportunity to tell you all why I love them so much, and
#ShareTheLove!
So let's take a look at some of my very favorite ladies of the
blog world!
I am sure Jenni and I would be
friends if I lived in Austin. Just read one post on Story of My Life, and
you'll see she is one of the sweetest, most down to earth girls out there. I
started following Jenni's blog a few years ago. It was actually one of the
first Lifestyle blogs I started reading regularly. I think it was her love story that got me, I am a sucker for romance. They're story is one everyone
should read. I think they could write on romantic comedy based on Jenni and
Mathew, maybe something with a little excitement
so Mathew can use his Emergency Kit!
One of my favorite things about
Jenni's blog is how honest she is. Not only is Story of My Life filled with Jenni's
beautiful photography, Austin travel
tips, and fashion advice, she touches on the things in life that we all
struggle with. Like accepting the loss of a loved one, and the
challenges of relationships. The way she writes is relatable, it helps
to know other people go through these challenges as well, and her perspective
on things is really refreshing. She has often helped me see things in a
different light.
Jenni's blog is wonderful! If it
isn't already one of your daily reads, I suggest you go take a look. I know
you'll love it!

Carrots 'n' Cake was one of the
very first blogs I started reading. Back in 2009 I discovered healthy living
blogs when I was trying to lose some weight. Tina became a huge inspiration to
me right away. Checking in with her blog and seeing her daily meal and exercise
posts was really motivational for me. It was almost as if she was my
cheerleader. I lost about 25 pounds with the help of both weight watchers and
healthy living blogs. I know that I would not have had the success I did
without finding the support of the blogging community.
Since then, I've continued to
read Carrots 'n' Cake every day. Tina is amazing, her blog is so uplifting and
positive. One of the things I love most about Tina is that she has found a way
to balance her passion for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with her love of nachos
and beer (two of my favorite things). She doesn't deprive herself of the things
she wants, but she finds a balance between indulging and eating healthful meals
and exercising. I think because of that, when I was trying to lose weight, I
knew that it wasn't the end of the world if I had a "cheat day" and I
learned that it's all about moderation.
Not only does Tina share
excellent recipes and workout ideas, but she also gives a glimpse into her life
with Mal and their adorable pug, Murphy. Carrots 'n' Cake is a place
where you can learn something about how to take steps towards a healthy
lifestyle, but also have some fun!

Katie's blog is one of my very
favorite DIY blogs. She just has so many creative ideas! And best of all, she
is always budget conscious! I pretty much want to move in to her house, hello beautiful new kitchen! She's always giving me inspiration for new ways to style
shelves, or give something I already have around the house a facelift. I'm
always pinning ideas from her blog, anything from how to refinish a table,
to spray painting tips and photo shop tutorials.
Not only is Katie creative, she
is also hilarious. Her writing is a joy to read, and her personality really
shines through. As I read her posts, I feel like I'm sitting and chatting with
an old friend. Whether you're looking for photography tips, decorating ideas,
or just a few laughs from a sweet Mom, be sure to stop and say hello to Katie.

Daily Garnish is another blog
I've been reading for years. When I first began reading her blog, she had just
started culinary school and posted daily updates about what techniques they
were learning and the foods they prepared each day. I found it so interesting
and loved having a glimpse into that world. Emily has always shared such amazing
recipes. She and her husband are vegetarian, and many of her recipes are vegan
and gluten free as well. I'm not a vegetarian, but her recipes are so delicious
and flavorful. Some of my favorites are those she created during her time
working on a farm, using the fresh ingredients they had on hand.
Now Emily is over on the West
Coast, in Seattle, and a mom to the cutest little guy, Cullen. Her blog has
evolved over the years but it continues to be something I go back to daily. After
reading her posts, I can't wait to visit Seattle so I can visit the farmer'smarkets she's talked about, walk around Greenlake, and hike
in the mountains outside of the city. It
has been fun to watch her blog develop. She's found a way to gracefully balance
motherhood, her work, exercise, and her family.

Kristin is adorable! I've been
following along for a couple years and I adore her blog! It's the perfect blend
of my three favorite things: food, travel, and fitness! Her recipes are
mouthwatering! I should just create an Iowa Girl Eats board on my Pinterest
because at least half of the recipes I pin are hers. Her recipes have become
even more valuable now that I live with my boyfriend, they're a perfect
combination of the foodie, gourmet recipes I always love, and the meat and
potatoes meals that Andrew likes.
You should definitely stop by
Iowa Girl Eats! Read about their amazing trip to the Almafi Coast, or
try one of her recipes, you won't be disappointed!

I came across Nicole's blog from
a different blog she was sponsoring. I'm surprised our paths never crossed in
San Francisco before she headed to Madrid, because we seem to enjoy all of the
same things about this city! Mimosa brunch anyone?
When I first discovered La Mia
Vita, she was living in San Francisco. I knew I would be moving to San Francisco soon, so I loved learning about all
of the fun places she visited in and around the city. Now that she is in Spain,
I've been living vicariously through her. I miss traveling so much and I love
seeing her beautiful pictures from Spain and hearing about her experiences
there.
Maybe when she's back in San
Francisco we can have a blate!?
Another new blogger, like myself.
Except, I am lucky enough to have been friends with her for the past 13 years.
Although we did meet for the first time at a birthday party way back in the
third grade!
Erica's new blog, Nannypology,
is already such a success in my eyes. I find it really impressive how many
connections she has already made in the past month. She writes about her
experiences as a nanny over the past ten years. Her writing style is both lighthearted
and honest. Working with children all these years has definitely given her an
edge when it comes to storytelling, her writing is very captivating. Erica's playful personality really comes
through in her blog, and she leaves you wanting more. You don't have to be a
nanny, or even a mom to appreciate her fun stories and ideas. Plus, her twitter
feed is highly entertaining! Who doesn't want to hear about boogers, karaoke,
and imaginary friends?
I hope you'll all take a moment
to pop on over and see what Nannypology is all about!
I feel a little guilty leaving
some of the ladies I love so much off this list, because there are SO many more
of you that I admire and read daily. Thank you to Erin for this amazing idea. I
think it's important that we support and encourage each other.
I can't wait to see who you're
all crushing on!
xoxo,
Theresa
