Lucky for us, we're now just a short walk from our very own farmers market packed with fresh summer produce!
On Sunday morning, Andrew and I woke up to a blanket of grey fog. Not my favorite kind of July morning, that's for sure. But we decided to make the best of it and walk to get coffee and check out our new neighborhood market.
I don't know what it is about farmers markets, but they put me in the best mood! I love just wandering from one vendor to the next, tasting samples of fresh produce, breads and cheese. I love the vibrant colors, and hustle and bustle of people shopping for Sunday dinner or just out on their morning walk. There was even live music and a few food vendors serving anything from sweet treats to Indian food.
We ended up taking a few things home for the week, our favorite being the orange cherry tomatoes. They're like candy! We nearly finished them by the time we got home. It was the perfect way to start our day!
And lucky for us, we have a friend who lives in Marin County, just outside the fog, who invited us up to BBQ and lounge by the pool. It ended up being a perfect Sunday!
Here are some photos of our stroll through the farmers market. I can't wait to go back this weekend...
xoxo,
Theresa
wow, this looks amazing! I might have to come over to your hood to check this out myself. one thing's for sure - you've sealed the deal, I'm going to some farmers market this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way as you. Love spending time at farmers market. :) I'm just in progress of making SF farmers market map. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a seriously impressive farmer's market! We love going to our local farmers market, but it's definitely not as nice as yours. For a really good one, we'd have to go up to Seattle and we usually decide it's not worth the traffic :p
ReplyDeletewow this stuff looks amazing. I am not a fan of the ferry building farmers market. im glad to hear there is another one. this is at clement and what? sunday mornings?
ReplyDeleteThat farmer's market looks amazing. I know what you mean about the Ferry Building market though. It's cool once in a while but it can get overwhelming on Saturday mornings!
