Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Pictures

For our engagement pictures we hired the amazingly talented photographer, Channa Vance. She is seriously awesome and I am SO bummed she wasn't our Wedding Photographer (more on that later). She is an incredibly talented photographer in the Sacramento area but she will also travel to clients as well. Channa took my friend Alex's wedding photos and does all her family portraits as well, so I've been following her work for years.

Andrew wanted to do our engagement photos in the forest, which I thought was a fun idea since we love hiking and the outdoors so much. Plus, Channa had recently discovered a cool spot for a photoshoot in Foresthill near where I grew up.

It ended up raining the day of our pictures so we almost had to cancel. But we decided to risk it and hope for the best. Besides my hair going flat in less than 5 minutes, and not planning for what to wear in the rain, we got some really amazing photos. I LOVE them!

If you're looking for a photographer in Placer County or neighboring areas, I can't recommend Channa enough. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I know some people think engagement photos are silly, but I am so happy we have them. We ended up making a photo album of them for our Guest Book at the wedding. We keep it on our coffee table and I love flipping through it every now and then
