It's hard to believe it's already been 3 weeks! I'm really enjoying the affects of getting ready each day, I can tell it makes me more productive and improves my mood! It's harder than I initially expected to find outfits I like online that I'm able to recreate at home because I often don't have all the pieces. But I am still trying to put something fun together, even if it's more of an inspired look than a total recreation.
This week started off slow, maybe that is a theme for Mondays? I was so tired from a fun and busy weekend. We had my 20 year high school reunion on Saturday (how is that possible?!) and then Andrew's birthday was Sunday so we had a small dinner here to make sure he felt celebrated. Needless to say, Monday morning I was quite tired and didn't manage to get ready besides a comfy outfit for childcare drop off. It was a nice cool, fall day so I was never inspired to change out of my comfy outfit!
Tuesday I went with another easy and casual look. This old Madewell top has gotten so much use. Although it's just a simple white top, it feels more special than a plain t-shirt. Plus, I love the buttons down the back. These Abercrombie jeans are my most worn, and most comfortable!
Wednesday was fun because it was one of my best friends birthdays and we had a fun girls evening planned. I wore this cute green dress I had rented for our reunion, but it was rainy and cold last weekend so I didn't get an opportunity to wear it. Often times short dresses are much too short on my with my long torso, but I was so happy with how this one fit. I was so comfortable and felt cute for a night out with my friends!
Thursday was another day working from home so I wanted to be comfortable. The weather also decided to switch back to summer the later part of this week, so I went with a comfy black dress. I threw on a jean jacket in the morning for my meetings when it was still cooler, but by the afternoon it was 90* here! I'm ready to break out all my fall clothes, and put away the spring and summer prints. It's always hard when the weather hasn't caught up to your state of mind.
Lat but not least! I took today off to get some errands done ahead of my trip and grab coffee and breakfast with my sister. Again, the morning was cool so I tied this rented sweater over my shoulders, but it was way too hot by the afternoon to be in jeans! I've been wanting to try wearing a sweater over my shoulders because I always think it looks so cute and effortless, I think I'll be repeating this a lot this fall!
